Before World War 2, the company’s founder August M\u00e4rtens was still working as a sales manager for electrical and radio products at Siemens in Hanover.<\/p>\n

After his return from the war in 1945, his professional focus once again became the Siemens company in Hanover. The focus of his professional activity was the search for saleable products. The product portfolio also included Fritz Sennheiser’s measuring instruments, which were manufactured in a technical laboratory in Wedemark near Hanover. This support for Fritz Sennheiser was to play a major role in the later development process of August M\u00e4rtens.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”top” el_class=”.add_padding”][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”The postwar period” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]In 1948 August M\u00e4rtens, the father of today’s owner Rolf M\u00e4rtens, founded the sole proprietorship “August M\u00e4rtens”. His wife, Erika M\u00e4rtens, ran the office while August M\u00e4rtens visited customers and sold products.
\nThe product portfolio at that time included flashlights, batteries and radios. Those products that were urgently needed in the post-war period. Demand grew, and the product range was successively expanded. Initially around small electrical appliances, microphones and later also headphones were added. This expansion of the product range was the beginning of the successful cooperation with Prof. Fritz Sennheiser, which was also maintained by the sons for more than 25 years.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″ el_class=”full-width-image”][vc_single_image image=”129291″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” el_class=”.add_padding”][vc_column][vc_row_inner content_placement=”top”][vc_column_inner el_class=”full-width-image” width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”129293″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”The 90s: pioneers with online store” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]In 1978, August M\u00e4rtens had meanwhile reached the age of 67, and the company’s succession was initiated when Rolf M\u00e4rtens joined the company. The sole proprietorship “August M\u00e4rtens” developed into the telecommunications wholesaler “M\u00e4rtens Communication GmbH”. M\u00e4rtens Communication GmbH was thus one of the first distribution companies to offer consumer electronics, and later telecommunications products and mobile telephony devices as well as multimedia applications from Asia to the specialized trade. As a pioneer of its time, the products could already be ordered in an orderable online store in 1999.<\/p>\n

In the 1990s, the family-owned company once again demonstrated its ability to innovate and change: in parallel with transmission technology, a second new business unit was established to serve the M2M communications market.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”top” el_class=”.add_padding”][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Bundling of competencies in the 2000s” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]In the 2000s, the competences were bundled: On August 1, 2002, the data transmission and connection technology business units (connector distribution and cable assembly) were transferred to the newly founded and legally independent company “MC Technologies GmbH”. The company name “MC Technologies GmbH” can be traced back to “MC” for “M\u00e4rtens Communication”.<\/p>\n

MC Technologies has become a certified training company that places great emphasis on the training and further education of its employees. \nAs a technically competent partner, MC Technologies is both a cable assembler and a successful distributor of well-known manufacturers for connectors. The work is carried out according to the highest quality standards (DIN EN ISO 9001).<\/p>\n

MC Technologies is still an economically independent company and is financed exclusively by the sole shareholder Rolf M\u00e4rtens.<\/p>\n
