\"450<\/a>LTE 450 MHz router:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The LTE 450 MHz network is a dedicated network for critical infrastructure, ensuring high building penetration, area coverage as well as high availability even in power outage situations.<\/p>\n

MC Technologies offers the ideal hardware solution for this network with the LTE 450 MHz router.<\/p>\n

Our router, which is freely programmable under Linux and manufactured in Germany, offers you both LTE and LTE 450 MHz switchable in one device. The device can work in the existing LTE network. If a 450 MHz network is established, the router can be switched to 450 MHz without any problems and continue to be used.<\/p>\n

This eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming hardware replacement when switching to 450 MHz. Through an adaptation, all LTE 450 MHz routers are shipped with the IEC-60870-5-104 protocol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 450 MHz multi-network router was certified by 450Connect in February 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Application scenario for the IEC-60870-5-104 protocol<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n

At an Austrian energy supplier, several solar parks are to be redundantly connected to the company’s own SCADA system. All solar farms have the same data model with the same station and data point addresses. Only allowed data points of allowed data types should be forwarded to the SCADA system, everything unknown is discarded. The exchange of information between the solar park and the SCADA system takes place via IEC 60870-5-104 (LAN or WAN, TCP\/IP).<\/p>\n

There is an MC-MR-L2 router from MC Technologies in each solar farm. It receives data from the solar farm and forwards it to the central SCADA system. One IEC 60870-5-104 connection is established to each solar farm controller and two redundant IEC 60870-5-104 connections are established to the SCADA system. There is no permanent TCP\/IP connection, the TCP\/IP connection is terminated. There is a separate TCP\/IP connection each to the solar park and to the two SCADA columns.<\/p>\n

The data point addresses used (the data model) are identical in all solar parks. The conversion into unique data point addresses for the SCADA system takes place in the MC-MR-L2 router from MC Technologies. This means that all solar park controllers are configured in the same way and the effort required for commissioning is reduced.<\/p>\n

The status of the connection to the solar farm is signaled and displayed in the SCADA system. Permissible messages and measured values received from the solar farm are transmitted to the SCADA system via the two IEC 60870-5-104 connections. The measured values deadband and transmit inhibit time are used to reduce\/restrict the amount of data. Deadband and transmit inhibit time are configurable for each measured value. Unknown data points are discarded, only allowed data points of allowed data types are transmitted from the solar farm to the SCADA system. The commands from the two SCADA columns are forwarded equally and the feedback is sent back to both SCADA columns via the two redundant IEC 6087-5-104 connections.<\/p>\n

Text logging in the MC-MR-L2 router with entries for connection establishment\/loss and exchanged IEC 60870-5-104 messages is configurable.<\/p>\n
