Together for children with cancer in Hanover

Helping where help is really needed: This year, we decided to support the Association for Children with Cancer in Hanover with a donation of €1,800. The association has been doing incredible things for affected families and the children’s cancer ward at the MHH since 1984.

Why this association?

A cancer diagnosis changes everything for a family from one second to the next. With a lot of heart, experience and expertise, the association ensures that the young patients and their relatives are not alone during this difficult time.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the volunteer board and donors, the ward at the MHH has been expanded into a highly qualified department. The help provided goes far beyond basic medical care:

• Promote healing: Activities such as art, music and sports therapies give the children a zest for life and strength.
• Child-friendly environment: The ward has been designed with state-of-the-art technology and an atmosphere that makes you forget the daily routine of the clinic.
• Additional specialist staff: The association steps in where the health insurance companies’ budgets come to an end.
