GSM and GPRS antennas

GPRS stands for “General Packet Radio Service” and is an extension of the GSM standard. It enables the transmission of data packets via mobile networks, which allows the use of mobile data services such as mobile Internet, e-mails and other data-intensive applications. While GSM was originally developed primarily for voice calls and SMS, GPRS added the ability to transmit data more efficiently, leading to a fundamental change in mobile communications.

GSM antennas also play a crucial role in GPRS, as they are used for both voice communication and data transmission in GSM and GPRS networks. A GSM antenna receives and transmits the radio signals that are used for both GSM-based voice services and GPRS-based data services.
