Cavli LTE Cat 1.bis

LTE Cat 1.bis is the LTE variant that was developed for the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine communication (M2M). It was introduced in 2016 with 3GPP Release 13. LTE Cat 1.bis offers the same throughput as LTE Cat 1 with a single antenna, reducing costs for OEMs and IoT solution providers.

Compared to LTE Cat 1, LTE Cat 1.bis technology offers a more compact and simpler design and represents a balanced solution for wireless communication that emphasizes both energy efficiency and data transmission reliability. The most important applications of LTE Cat 1.bis include intelligent asset tracking, logistics and supply chain management as well as intelligent sensors. Smart metering, smart cities and other micromobility applications use LTE Cat 1.bis modules.
