4G LTE industrial router for remote maintenance and secure networks

Our 4G LTE industrial routers are compatible with all global mobile radio standards and are equipped with a Quectel module. The mobile routers can be controlled via SMS, alarm messages and GPIO events can be sent via SMS and e-mail.

An integrated firewall and VPN transmission technologies comprehensively protect the application from unauthorized access. Simple user-friendly configuration of the router locally and also via remote maintenance is possible via the integrated web server or an XML file. Device-specific events are recorded in an integrated logbook and, if required, on an internal SD card or plugged-in USB stick.

The MC-MR-L2 series is particularly suitable for applications that require a reliable LTE connection in harsh environments. With LTE CAT4, the industrial LTE routers achieve data rates of up to 150 Mbit/s in the download and are therefore sufficiently dimensioned for most remote maintenance and monitoring scenarios. Unlike conventional consumer routers, industrial routers are designed for extended temperature ranges, vibrations and harsh environmental conditions. They have functions such as VPN, firewall and remote maintenance access, which are required for secure operation in industrial networks.

The choice between LTE and 5G depends on the specific application. 4G/LTE routers offer a proven and ubiquitous cellular connection that is sufficient for most remote maintenance and monitoring scenarios. 5G routers are suitable for applications with high bandwidth and latency requirements, for example in factory automation or when transmitting large amounts of data in real time. The MC-MNR series supports both standards and automatically switches between 5G and 4G/LTE.

Depending on the model, the industrial routers from MC Technologies offer Ethernet ports, WLAN, USB, serial interfaces (RS-232, RS-485) and digital inputs and outputs (GPIO). These interfaces can be used to connect controllers, sensors and other field devices directly to the mobile network.

All industrial routers from MC Technologies have an integrated firewall and support VPN connections (IPsec, OpenVPN). This means that data transmission between the router and the company network is encrypted throughout and protected against unauthorized access.
