With the optical communication head (OKK-485), a Smart Meter Gateway can be connected not only directly to the base meter EHZ, but also to the mME-EHZ via the communication adapter (BAB-01).

In the OKK-485, a sleeve is specially injection-molded next to the connector to improve stability.
